In the 'Spirits' of Christmas

For the first time in many years, I am not dreading Christmas. I may even, be a little excited. Gone are the days of only having one day off, and then back to work. Gone are the days of having to deal with angry last minute shoppers, when we are sold out of the items on their lists.
In my current job, I have the unique and great opportunity to work with a diverse group of volunteers. All ages, all denominations, one God. Cool.
Yesterday one of my older volunteers came in. She is mennonite, and older and consistent. She is a gem. She came in with a little Christmas bag in her hand, ready to spread Christmas Cheer. She smiled and handed me my gift, and I ooo'ed and awed at the contents. A homemade dish cloth.....also, now this is where I struggled to keep my composure, a set of candles.....only they weren't just little candles, they were shot glass candles.....and I am sure she had no clue. Bless her heart.
