Old Dutch Caramel Corn

Okay, call me Lauralea, but I tried this recipe today and it is amazing. You NEED to try it. It is on the back of the Old Dutch Popcorn Twists.
....and unlike Lauralea...mine has SUGAR.

Directions: lace contents of one 175 gram bag of Old Dutch Popcorn twists into a large roaster pan. Next in a 2l sauce pan, cook together for 2 minutes the following caramel sauce ingredients:

1/2lb butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup

Add 1tsp. baking soda to the mixture. This will cause the mixture to foam. Allow the foam to cook down slightly, then stop cooking the caramel sauce mixture. Pour over popcorn twists and stir until mixed. Place in 250 degree F oven for 45 minutes. Stir at least every 10-15 minutes. Remove from oven and pour onto wax paper. Allow to cool slightly and break apart.
