My Present

Last week my teenage nieces stayed with me on their way to Winnipeg for a family vacation. Now I enjoy spending time with them, they are getting kinda cool in their old age. When they left, I did what I always do when someone I know goes away. I said "Bring me a present, bring me a present, bring me a present, bring me a present........." You get the idea.

Yesterday, they were on their way home, and stopped in the city for supper. I was very excited when the first words out of Johanna's mouth were, "I brought you a present, I brought you present!" She held out a bag to show me that she had purchased about 6 or 7 different kinds of tea leaves. I oohed and aahed , and was careful to smell each one before choosing one that I wanted. I was very thankful, and took the little bag of tea, to put in my purse, when she said, "Um, Auntie Robyn, you get a cup of tea, not the package."

So when ever you get frustrated with a gift that someone gives you, just remember, it could be worse, it could be a just a cup of tea.
