The Branch

Yesterday, as I made my way to work, I once again was thankful that God gave me a sense of humor.
It was a bit cold (understatement) and my bus was late. When I finally got my connection I was contemplating the possibility of losing my toes...frostbite.
I don't know if you are aware of bus etiquette, but basically it is as follows: mind your own business, don't make eye contact, and if you are familiar with the bus driver, politely thank him for the ride. That's it. Just try to keep to yourself, helping elderly people when they need it.
So there I sat, trying to warm up, and three seats infront of me sat Ms. Nosey. She had to look at each person. She had to turn around and see everyone behind her. Ms. Nosey.
The best part about Ms. Nosey? When she turned back around, I noticed something caught in her hair. I leaned forward, squinting my eyes to see a 3 inch pine tree branch, intertwined in a piece of matted hair.
I guess Ms. Nosey had put her head where it didn't belong.
And I smiled to myself, because on a freakin cold day, on a late bus, there IS something to laugh at.
