Old Yeller.

I have to say....it has been a day. A day to forget. It all started when........
I got to work at 1pm, after three days off....to find my staff not using one of the tils. After inquiring about the problem, I promptly found out that it didnt work properly...cas somebody got a quarter stuck inside...
(i can only imagine at this point what happened to that poor quarter to suddenly find itself INSIDE a keyboard.)
So me, being the smart boss that I am ....I call the help desk, who promise to send a technician to the store to remove my quarter.
The technician (who is a story all on his own) calls me and tells me to call my head office, because this is gonna be expensive, to get my quarter out.
(Now we are getting to the good part of the story) I call the head office tech support guy ...we'll call him Yeller....and get his voice mail, which prompts me to call another number to get help. So I call. And it goes like this
Yeller: "WHY ARE YOU CALLING ME ON THIS NUMBER????!!!!"
Robyn: "Cas it was on your voice mail."
Yeller:"NO IT WASNT!!!"
Robyn:" uh...yes it was"
Yeller: "NO IT WASNT"
Robyn:YES, it was."
And so it went on and on.
Yeller: "YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO CALL THE HELP DESK"
Robyn: "I did"
Yeller: "THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO SEND A TECH OUT"
Robyn: They did, the tech called and told me to call you."
And so it went again.
Now this guy freaked out on me cas I called "THE NUMBER," and I have had it with his tantrums.
In November, he called me and yelled at me because one of my staff members wrote his name on a white shipping box. Apparently "THE BOX WAS NOW USELESS TO HIM!" It was a $2 box. I am running a business....and you are worried about a $2 box...let me send you some whiteout.
Why do these people act that way. Two people said to me today that its because they are computer geeks...but I dont accept that..I know nice computer geeks......computer geeks are people too...and they should know how to treat people with respect and professionalism....can't you get a program for that?
